Early film contained an emulsion that was not conducive to color images as the emulsion transformed the various frequencies of the spectrum into shades of gray. Monochromatic and orthochromatic film, sensitive only to blue light and sensitive to blue and green light respectively, produced images that were originally flat but eventually dimensioned....
